Schill plays catch

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff May 6, 2008 03:08 PM

DETROIT -- Curt Schilling made 25 throws at 60 feet this afternoon. The session -- really just him playing catch with pitching coach John Farrell -- lasted six minutes. He's scheduled to throw again on Thursday.

  1. As long as he's healthy enough to make a few starts in September and ready to go in the playoffs, that's really all the Sox need at this point. Add him and Colon to Beckett, Dice-K, Wakefield, Buchholz and Lester and that's a solid rotation-plus.

  1. Yes, baby steps, but the longest journey begins with a single step.

  1. We owe Curt everything. He is the one who turned the losing tradition around. He put his career on the line for the Sox. Daniel Saviteer must be a Yankee fan. Curt and his wife do a lot of charity work for the community. Go Curt!!! We, the true, Sox fans will always love you.
