Sox increase lead to 6-3

J.D. Drew, who had a grand slam in the second inning, scored Boston's sixth run in the bottom of the sixth. He singled and advanced to third on catcher Kevin Cash's single. He crossed the plate as a result of Julio Lugo's sacrifice fly.


That chased Royals' starter Brian Bannister in favor of lefthander Jimmy Gobble.
