Sox take the lead
In the bottom of the third inning, Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia rapped a two-out double to left field off the Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Edwin Jackson, scoring Carlos Pena from second base to give Boston a 1-0 lead. Pena reached on a one-out double. Designated hitter David Ortiz followed Pedroia with a walk. That brought up left fielder Manny Ramirez, who struck out to end the inning.

We got Pena back! Sweet. He'd be great in a platoon with Youk.
how did pena get on the sox roster?
We signed Pena?!
You still in a hockey coma Nance? Pena and Pedroia don't play for the same team.
Duh, Carlos Pena Plays for Tampa not Boston!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nancy,
Carlos Pena is on the Rays not the Red Sox
can you check your details? I know people don't love Lugo in Boston, but do you really need to be so careless as to mix him up with the other team's man?
I'm pretty sure you must mean Lugo, seeing as Pena is on the Rays now. Certainly did make me think twice about it though.
This entry is... um... confusing. I do wish Pena was still with the Sox (no place for him, I know, but still), though.
Someone got their #23's confused....
