Sox trail

MINNEAPOLIS - We're underway here at the Metrodome and so far it's all Twins.

They have taken a 2-0 lead in the first inning off Jon Lester.

Leadoff man Carlos Gomez, who was recognized before the game after he hit for the cycle vs Chicago on Wednesday, stroked a long fly ball to the warning track in left center which Manny Ramirez tracked down. But Brendan Harris and Joe Mauer both singled and advanced a base on Jacoby Ellsbury's throw to third base. Justin Morneau singled in the run with a grounder to shortstop.

Michael Cuddyer then stroked a broken-bat single up the middle scoring Mauer with the second Twins run.

In the top of the first, the Sox wasted a two-out double by David Ortiz off Twins starter Boof Bonser
