Sox win sixth straight
The Red Sox have won their sixth straight game, 6-3, over the Royals tonight.
Mike Timlin allowed the Royals a run in the ninth on a David DeJesus single to right scoring Joey Gathright. But Timlin was able to preserve Bartolo Colon's first win for the Red Sox.
Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia each had three hits for the Sox. Jason Varitek homered and Julio Lugo had a pair of hits and knocked in a run.
