Steak for everyone (on the PawSox)

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff May 8, 2008 05:05 PM

You can bet the PawSox players aren't too upset about the rehabbing Red Sox taking a few at bats away from them. What's four at bats when you get steaks?

Sean Casey, who played his first of two games in Pawtucket, bought Capital Grille steaks for his temporary teammates -- and went 2-for-4 this afternoon. He had two singles and scored a run as the team's DH.

Alex Cora also played second base and went 1-for-4 with a single and a run scored. He'll play shortstop tomorrow, with Casey manning first base.

The PawSox won 3-2 over Durham today.

(Oh, and here's my plug: Look for the first installment of the minor league notebook in the Globe tomorrow.)

  1. Leave it to Sean Casey...one of the most genuinely good guys the game has ever known.

  1. Yes! I love the minor league notebook. It's how I keep tabs on who will be rocking Boston two years from now :-)
