Street saves A's win

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 24, 2008 11:20 PM

OAKLAND - The Sox have lost their second straight to the A's, 3-0, to drop to 10-16 on the road. It's their worst road record after 26 games since 1992 when they were also 10-16. They've now lost six straight road games and seven of their last eight.

Huston Street retired the Sox in order in the 9th to preserve the win for Justin Duchscherer, who one-hit the Sox over 8 innings.

Bud Selig would like this: 2:17 game time, the quickest game played by the Red Sox this season.
