Tied ... again

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff May 7, 2008 10:56 PM

It's two outs, tied game, here at Comerica Field.

Curtis Granderson, who now has an 0-for-6 tonight, drove in the tying run with a groundout to second base, leaving Edgar Renteria on third with two down.

  1. Yeah...Lugo still thinks he can do it all...guys like him try too hard to do everything...they want that magic play but end up forcing it because they don't think before touching the baseball....but Papelbon blew this one....even after Lowell gathered the troops specifically to settle nerves....by now Pap should have a better handle on his emotions....you couldn't ask to face a better potential K than Granderson in that situation...what does he do?...starts him off 2-0 because he's overthrowing...even Joba has outgrown that!
