Twins add a run
The Twins added some cushion in the fourth off Julian Tavarez, an unearned run on a rare Mike Lowell error when he booted Craig Monroe's grounder, which would have ended the inning. Instead Joe Mauer scored Minnesota's eighth run.
Tavarez had secured the first two outs before a pair of walks sandwiched a single by Justin Morneau to load the bases.
It's 8-4. David Aardsma has come on to pitch the fifth.
