Wake gives up more

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff May 23, 2008 10:57 PM

Tim Wakefield allowed another home run, this one to Mark Ellis, bringing the total to seven runs for the A's.

Dustin Pedroia did get one back for the Red Sox, his home run to left-center field marking the first hit off Rich Harden in the game. He had gotten 10 straight outs to open the contest, before allowing the homer and walking David Ortiz with one out in the fourth.

It's 7-1, Oakland.

  1. Amalie, any chance you can find that idiot with the whistle and shove it down his throat?

  1. It looked like Tito was complaning to homeplate umpire Tim Tchida that Harden was putting his hand to his mouth. Any confirmation that this was also Magadan's complaint...?
