Wakefield gone

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 11, 2008 09:14 PM

Just wasn't Tim Wakefield's night. After a couple of passed balls by Kevin Cash and a wild pitch by Wakefield, Mike Lamb's single up the middle, scoring Justin Morneau and Delmon Young, brought out manager Terry Francona with the hook.

Wakefield threw 74 pitches. He was replaced by Julian Tavarez with two outs in the third.

It's 7-1 Twins.
