Wrapping up
Navarro foul pop caught by Youkilis: that's one.
Gross walked. Haynes fielder's choice to Lowell, who makes putout at second: that's two.
Cannizaro grounds out to short: that's three.
Sox win, 12-4.
..And I've definitely got blisters on my fingers!

Barbara, I appreciate your hard work very much and hope your blisters go away quickly. However, I feel that all your in-game blogging (not you specifically, but Globe extra base bloggers collectively) is a waste of effort. I just don't see any game information that isn't offered by MLB's gameday, ESPN's gamecast, or even sportsnetwork's game log. The Globe staff, in my opinion, should focus on writing insightful stuff, not regular game entries, which do not add any value. I encourage you to look at your football blogging colleagues for how to write insightful blogs. Mike Reiss never floods his blog with in-game regular entries that simply documents what's happening on the field; his blog always gives readers some info that is not otherwise available at the time. Another barometer is the number of responses each entry gets. If you are seeing a lot of entries with no responses, you ought to evaluate if the entries are received well and whether such blogging is worth your effort.
