A new game
Mike Lowell changes everything with a double off the wall in left. The ball bounced off the wall and eluded Eric Byrnes, and Ellsbury and Ramirez scored.
4-4.
The beleaguered Varitek then cranked a single to right field to score Lowell with the go-ahead run.
5-4, Sox.
Moss followed with a single to right (Dback second baseman dove to make the stop, missed the ball, and winced with pain after landing on the dirt, fully stretched out.)
That brought a pitching change, and Tony Pena got Crisp out on a fly ball to right.
