Beckett goes 7

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff June 15, 2008 04:01 PM

CINCINNATI - Absolutely no need for Josh Beckett to go beyond seven innings and 98 pitches today. He left after giving up six hits in seven innings with Boston holding a 9-0 lead.

The Sox made a few defensive changes. Kevin Cash has come in for Jason Varitek and Brandon Moss is playing left field. This is starting to look like a spring training game.
