Coco examined tomorrow

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff June 18, 2008 04:53 PM

PHILADELPHIA - All indications are that Coco Crisp's hand injury doesn't appear serious.

Sox manager Terry Francona said Crisp's left hand will be examined tomorrow in Boston. Francona described the injury as a strain in the top/middle of the hand. Francona said it hurt Crisp more to out the hand in his glove, but he injured it while swinging in the first inning and came out of the game in the third, replaced by Brandon Moss.

Francona didn't seem to think Crisp would be out of the lineup on Friday.

  1. Could have sworn Crisp was removed from the lineup because he was being dealt to the Cubs.

  1. I hope he's not out. We can all thank our lucky stars that Theo, unlike most of the dumb fans, had the forsight not to trade Coco. But even if he's out a couple of games, Theo has built such depth, that an excellent youg player like Brandon Moss can step in. This is without Manny and Crisp! Amazing!

  1. Will he be getting his head examined too? He needs it.
