Crisp leaves with hand injury

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff June 18, 2008 02:19 PM

PHILADELPHIA - Coco Crisp left the game in the third inning with discomfort in his left hand. He's day-to-day. He felt the discomfort after his first at-bat in the first inning.

There had been reports in the Chicago Tribune that the Cubs were now willing to include Milton's Rich Hill in a deal for Crisp. Cubs' scout Ken Kravec has been watching the Sox all week. But there doesn't appear to be anything imminent and it doesn't appear the Sox would want to disrupt their team at the moment.

Brandon Moss, pinch-hitting for Coco Crisp, delivered the knockout punch on Kyle Kendrick with a two-run, third-inning single.

J.D. Drew has delivered his third hit - an RBI single in the fourth. It's 7-1 Sox.
