Farrell speaks to Peterson

PHILADELPHIA - Sox pitching coach John Farrell said he has spoken to fired Mets pitching coach Rick Peterson.

"It was a tough situation, but Rick will hook on with someone. He's an excellent pitching coach who has had a lot of success. I doubt he'll be out there long," Farrell said.

Peterson was one of Farrell's minor league pitching coaches when Farrell was a pitcher in the Indians' minor league system.
