Red Sox take the lead

Manny Ramirez scored on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by Julio Lugo to put the Red Sox ahead, 1-0, over the St. Louis Cardinals in the bottom of the second inning.

The unearned run, charged to starter Kyle Lohse, was all Boston could muster in the inning as the game heads to the top of the third.
