Roster moves

Just so everyone is clear, there were two roster moves.

With David Ortiz on the disabled list and Jeff Bailey being optioned back down to Pawtucket, two new players were added to the 25-man roster.

That would be Chris Carter and tonight's starting pitcher, Justin Masterson.
