Sox can't score in second

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff June 16, 2008 07:39 PM

PHILADELPHIA - The projected rain has held off and we're in the bottom of the second inning, the Phils still holding a 3-0 lead.

The Sox wasted a first-inning one-out double by Dustin Pedroia, and then in the second with two outs, Sean Casey doubled and Julio Lugo walked. But Bartolo Colon struck out swinging to end the inning against lefty Cole Hamels.

Casey was in the game because Kevin Youkilis was a late scratch with mid-back spasms.
