Sox to honor C's

The Red Sox plan to honor their basketball brethren before Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Fenway Park.
While no specifics were mentioned, a media advisory sent by the Sox indicated there would be a pregame ceremony to "recognize and honor the achievements of the 2008 NBA World Champion Boston Celtics."
While no specific players are listed, the release indicated that the 2008 Celtics will be joined by team owners and alumni.
The Celtics and Red Sox have mingled many times over the past year, including when Kevin Garnett (above, with David Ortiz) and Ray Allen threw out ceremonial first pitches last season after being acquired by the Celtics via trades.
Red Sox players and owners have been spotted at Celtics games throughout the season, including much of the Celtics' run through the playoffs.

that would be sweet if they wore the green jersey's tomorrow night as well
It would be great if the Sox wore those green jerseys they typically only wear on St Patrick's Day during spring training!
Nice pic of Garnett and Ortiz. How about adding a photo credit?
Will the Sox be wearing their Celtic green uniforms for Friday's game? Let''s hope so!
way to go Sox and Celtics!!
Is there any city like this? Kraft taking out a full-page ad in the Globe; Belichick going to the games...Schilling at Celtics games, Garnett throwing out pitches at Sox games...unreal how well these three teams and their ownership groups show the fans how much they care about the city by doing the little things like this. Now if we could only dump the Jacobs' and get some quality owners for the B's!
Celtics and Red Sox, how lucky are we???? Happy Birthday Leslie. Find someone to cover your branch.

That photograph should be titled, "Thank you Minnesota."
I suggest the Red Sox wear Celtics caps during the game tomorrow.

Any truth to the rumour that Kevin Millar lost an NBA finals related bet and had to change his at-bat music to "Ice Ice Baby?"
