Timlin to DL

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff June 21, 2008 01:51 PM

Mike Timlin has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with left knee tendonitis. The roster move will be activating Daisuke Matsuzaka from the DL to make tonight's start. (This also give new life to Chris Smith, who likely would have been the move had Timlin not had to be placed on the disabled list.)

  1. Dice-K's back...nothing wrong with that. Hopefully he can stay healthy. Am I the only one that thinks it is absolutley spectacular that the Sox have stayed atop the AL East even with all of their injuries this season? Let's hope the "surging" Skankees stay where they belong, at the bottom of the heap.

  1. Very excited to see what Chris Smith can do...especially on an extended basis with Coach Farrell and 'Tek.

Terrific Triple A numbers might just extend to the big club.
