Wake done

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff June 2, 2008 09:29 PM

BALTIMORE - At least the Sox went ahead before Tim Wakefield's night was over. The veteran right-hander went seven full innings allowing five hits, four walks, struck out three and allowed two runs. He threw 110 pitches.

Hideki Okajima has come on in the eighth and has allowed singles to the first two (Markakis and Mora) Oriole hitters.

  1. Francona is an idiot. WHY DO YOU LEAVE CORA IN THERE TO HIT INTO A DOUBLE PLAY whey you have Pedroia on the bench, And if that isn;t stupid enough, why do you take WAKE out when he is pitching good and bring in okejima to give up 4 runs. WE HAVE THE STUPIDEST manager in the league, PERIOD.
