Weather watching
Interleague play continues tonight at Fenway Park with the Arizona Diamondbacks in town for a three-game set and there could be more weather-related issues for fans heading to the game.
The National Weather Service forecast for Boston calls for scattered showers this afternoon and tonight with the chance of precipitation at 40 percent.
Sox starter Josh Beckett (7-4, 3.87 ERA), who will be pitching on seven days of rest, will try for his third straight winning decision. Beckett is 4-0 in five starts at Fenway this season.
Beckett had one of his best outings of the season in his last start in Cincinnati where he allowed six hits and struck out six in seven innings in a 9-0 win over the Reds.
The struggling D-backs, looking to avoid their fourth straight loss, will send Dan Haren (7-4, 3.26) to the mound, who'll try for his third consecutive winning decision. Haren is 1-3 with a 3.26 ERA in five starts against the Red Sox. Arizona swept a three-game series in its only previous visit to Fenway Park from June 7-9, 2002.

any updates on the appeal of crisp and casey's suspenions?
OMG - Dan Haren has the same record as Josh Beckett? Who is Dan Haren? Aparently he pitches for the D-backs. We need to remedy this and quick Mr. Beckett. Let's get some runs support for our ace and get him win #8. None of this extra innings crap, let's just get it done in 9 tonight boys.
