Terry Francona announced his rotation after the All-Star break:

July 18 @ Angels: Clay Buchholz
July 19 @ Angels: Josh Beckett
July 20 @ Angels: Tim Wakefield
July 21 @ Mariners: Jon Lester
July 22 @ Mariners: Daisuke Matsuzaka
July 23 @ Mariners: Clay Buchholz

The rotation is designed to give both Josh Beckett and Jon Lester additional rest. Lester has made 20 starts, which ties him for most in the AL.

Mike Lowell is DHing today. Francona says he's "beat up."

Francona indicated both Alex Cora, in the lineup today, and Jed Lowrie will play during Julio Lugo's prolonged absence (4-6 weeks) because of a quad injury sustained Friday.

Francona is getting ready for a whirlwind couple of days as the AL manager after today's game.

The Acela All-Star Express leaves South Station with all the Sox' participants after the game.

Francona will be announcing the starting pitcher at an 11 a.m. press conference and then the AL Stars will be available to the media beginning at 11:45 a.m. at the Grand Hyatt in New York.

Francona and players then will depart for Yankee Stadium for a 4:30 p.m. workout which concludes at 5:30 p.m. when the NL squad works out. That's followed by Home Run Derby, which Francona also will attend.
