Joba Chamberlain takes the win, the loss going to Josh Beckett, as the Sox lost to the Yankees 1-0.

We're headed down the clubhouses for comments.

  1. That umpire should have been the one ejected after the BS job he turned in tonight. Headhunter Chamberlain should have been tossed immediately, and that 3rd called strike on Mike Lowell was one of the worst strike calls ever! Like Mariano Rivera needs any help! What a cheap game, decided on a cheap play and bad calls. Pathetic!

  1. Hey Dirt Dogs, keep it up, the photo of "Justin" must have inspired him. Thanks!

  1. Sure could have used Manny's bat tonight!

Eck was right to question Manny's attitude.

The MRI on both knees was fine.... why can't any of his "injuries" be corraborated by medical tests???????

He needs to stop playing games and get his head in the game!!!

  1. HA! Unreal collapse by our boys. I have absolutely no faith that they will be able to outlast the Yankees. Joba made us look impotent. To add insult to injury, they just added pitching a great righty bat.

  1. Hey there,

Were you watching the game tonight? No comments regarding the incompetance of the Eric Gregg II behing the dish tonight. It was All game long, not only in the ninth... Bill Simmons would have been all over this by the fourth inning...

  1. Hah hah hah. I got to have my cake and eat it too. I got to see Joba peg Youkilis again and still stay in the game as it hit his bat and not his ugly ass bean town knoggin.

So good. Peg him again. Good Joba!

  1. For all of you Sox fans that are upset about the Joba-Youkilis drama, let me just say this. First, although it was close, Joba did not hit him. Second, how man times, HOW MANY, over the last 5 years did Yankee fans have to endure watching the Yanks get hit and not retaliate? I remember Pedro sending two guys to the hospital on one day and the Yanks doing nothing about it. As far as I'm concerned, it's just long overdue payback. Plus, Youkilis SITS on top of the plate, so he's just asking to get brushed back (or down to the ground as was the case last night).

  1. I dont recall any yankees being hit in the head. Youk may be close to the plate but jeter is actually over the plate. The yankees are lucky he hasn't actually hit youk "yet" cause one of those pitches could have sent him to the mourge.

Chamberlain is made of the right stuff. No care at all pitching at Fenway agst Beckett.

  1. How about Manny to the mets for beltran and prospects

  1. brushed back is one thing, but aiming at his head it quite another. as i recall, pedro did not come anywhere near the heads of the two guys.

  1. Sam, you ignorant slut. The two yankees who were hospitalized (Jeter was one) were both hit in the fingers, fingers which were actually in the strike zone at the time. Jeter at least should have had a strike called on him, if not be called out for interference on the play. Secondly, that was many years ago and very few players remain on either team, with a few even changing sides in the interim. Joba was in High School at the time for goodness sake. And not only is Joba going after the guy's head, but he has done it now several times, to the head, to the same player. It is a deliberate violent act and if it happens again he should be immediately arrested and charged with felony assault. (Just the image of a yankee pitcher being led off the field in handcuffs makes me smile....)

  1. As a Yankee fan, I would be happy to see Manny go to the Mets for Beltran and prospects. I am sure that would work out.

I hope Theo watches the Mets play with Beltran for a few more games.

Love to see how Beltran will protect Ortiz in the line up.

Wait maybe the poster, dan, is a Yankee fan too! My bad!

  1. Sam with a nice example of Yankee rationalizing 101.
Never mind that the Meathead Husker already has been suspended once this season for chucking it at yooks' head, or that Headcase Farnsworth was suspended for chucking it at Manny.
Only thing to do now is to retaliate. Let's start with Jeter the Sacred Cow
