Why not extra innings on the team's last West Coast swing? Manny Delcarmen retired Bloomquist on a grounder to second to end the ninth.

Both teams are playing in their seventh extra-inning game. The Sox are 4-2, the M's are 2-4.

The bottom of the ninth was delayed by some yahoo running onto the field. He drew cheers when he dodged one security guy, was nearly de-pantsed by another, before security man No. 1 buried him with a pile-driving tackle.

  1. As the yahoo was being walked off the field, he appeared to be joking to the cop on the right.

    Personally, I guessed that he was commenting on the Mariner's Security pisspoor ability to land a tackle.
