John Lackey improved to 9-2 as he held on to beat the Red Sox, 6-2 tonight.

Lackey lost his no-hitter with one out in the ninth when Dustin Pedroia stroked a single to left field followed by Kevin Youkilis's homer over the Green Monster.

Lackey walked two and and struck out four. The loser was Clay Buchholz, who dropped to 2-6.

  1. Someone needs to tell Manny his BS is clearly hurting the team. Manny's antics have caused a circus in what was a peaceful and tranquil locker room. We have Ortiz back and should be crushing other teams. It's Manny's responsibility to put the team on his back and get them rolling again. C'mon Manny, wake up!
