Another sacrifice gives Orioles lead

Posted by Baxter Holmes, Globe Correspondent July 11, 2008 08:45 PM

Following Brian Roberts triple that scored Brandon Fahey and tied the game at 3, Adam Jones hit a deep sacrifice fly to Jacoby Ellsbury in center field that scored Roberts and gave the O's a 4-3 lead.

David Aardsma began warming up in the Sox bullpen a few minutes ago.

We're in the fifth inning with two outs and Buchholz just threw his 100th pitch, a 1-2 ball to Melvin Mora. To this point, Buchholz has allowed two runs on five hits with four walks. He has struck out five.
