Beckett falters in seventh, Angels score 4

Posted by Gordon Edes, Globe Staff July 19, 2008 06:12 PM

ANAHEIM -- Vladi Guerrero homered on Josh Beckett's first pitch of the seventh, and the Angels scored three more on Erick Aybar's pinch triple to take a 4-2 lead. Coco Crisp's spectacular catch at the wall spared Beckett from more damage, Crisp taking extra bases away from Casey Kotchman to end the inning. Crisp clutched his back after making the catch and slowly walked off the field.
