Bowden to Triple A

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff July 15, 2008 05:50 PM

Michael Bowden, who dominated his opponents in Double A, will now make his next start for the PawSox. Though Bowden was recently placed on the seven-day disabled list for a sore calf, retroactive to July 10, he will be heading up the next level in the days to come.

Bowden will start the fifth game back from the All-Star break, on Monday in Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to that move, first baseman Lars Anderson and infielder Argenis Diaz are being moved up to Double A Portland.

Also, Yamaico Navarro is heading to Lancaster from Greenville, as is Mike Jones.

But, as has been rumored on some web sites, like soxprospects.com, outfielder Josh Reddick is not among the promotions.
