David Ortiz Watch: One and done

PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Big Papi is done for the night with one hit -- the homerun to right field -- and two strikeouts. Sandy Madera stepped in to pinch hit for Ortiz in the bottom of the eighth. Ortiz's series average dipped from .400 before the game to .333 at night's end.

Things aren't looking good for the PawSox, who are down 12-5 as we enter the ninth inning.

  1. So who gets sent down when Papi comes back on Friday? I imagine Moss, since he's not playing at all. Is that the going assumption?
