Dice-K escapes jam again

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff July 13, 2008 03:35 PM

Teams are now 0-for-11 against Daisuke Matsuzaka with the bases loaded. That happened in the fifth when Dice-K walked a couple of batters and hit Adam Jones to load them up. He got Melvin Mora to bounce back to him to end the inning. He's thrown 100 pitches through five but leads 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth.
