Red Sox manager Terry Francona spent "five good minutes" on ESPN's Pardon the Interruption show this evening. Among the topics of discussion, Francona was asked if he knew who Manny Ramirez was calling from the Green Monster during a game on Wednesday.

“No," said Francona. "But as long as he's not calling us saying he's got to come out of the game ... that's not a real big blip on the radar.

"As long as the production outweighs some of the things on the periphery, we look the other way, to be honest."

  1. honestly, if manny wasn't doing these things, i'd be disappointed. he's a genuine character and great for the game (when he's not beating up personnel).
