Hernandez homers, Sox lead 2-1

O's catcher Ramon Hernand just smacked one of Tim Wakefield's knuckleballs over the Green Monster to pull the O's within a run, 2-1.

It was Hernandez's eighth home run of the year and just the second home run Wakefield has allowed in his last four starts. The last was a solo shot by Alex Rodriguez on July 6 in a 5-4 loss to the Yankees.
