It's getting ugly...

Or is that Uggla?

OK, yes, I know that was a horrific pun, but it's been a long night. And it figures to get longer.

We're in the 11th in New York, and the American League is running out of pitchers. Terry Francona has just Joakim Soria (who pitched the 11th already) and George Sherrill left in his bullpen. Sort of. He also technically has Scott Kazmir, but the Rays have asked that Kazmir not pitch in the game to keep him on his regular rest.

We'll see if that holds as the innings tick away.

  1. How many people in the press boxes are writing articles right now as to why the All-Star Game shouldn't count for home field advantage given what you just said.

  1. Apparently, the MLB brought in the Not Ready For Prime Time Umpire Crew.
Two bad calls at second base, and another at home.

The Umpire's Association better keep praying to their god that baseball never implements instant reply...
