Manny, Marlins hoohah
OK, I'm hearing and reading the same thing you guys are on Manny and the Marlins. All I can tell you, gentle readers, is that it flies in the face of everything I've been told in the last hour-plus. Anything is possible, but I can't see it.

If Manny doesn't like the over-the-top enthusiasm of the fans and the media, then SoFla is the place to be! Nobody goes to the games, nobody cares. Even with the Marlins in the playoff race, all anyone (including sports radio) talks about is the Dolphins.
Manny it was great but Hasta La Vista
Theo loves white players like Hermidia and Varitek and Clement and Drew and Papelbon and Lester and Clay Fossum and Pedroia and Yooker and Masterson and Lowrie and Bowden and Moss. He hates latinos like Manny and Pedro.
Theo's racism will drive Manny out of town.
Theo's Racism Shows Again!!!
And Racists like Gordon Edes, Bob Lobel, Dan Shaughnessy and Dennis & Callahan refuse to hold Theo accountable!!!
I am a Yankee fan and all of you guys must have all lost your minds. Trading Manny are you kidding even Drew was hitting at career highs when batting in front of Manny when Ortiz was hurt. Don't expect to go far in the playoff without Manny in your lineup even if on occassion he doesn't run hard to first or muffs a fly ball. Some times folks should step back so they can see the forest from the trees.
The two bats being rumored on ESPN provide little more replacement for Manny than what we have down in AAA. How does this deal make sense? It doesn't.
i want cameron maybin for manny.
Manny not running hard last night, showed me the end is near. This guy will quit if we don't move him. JERK
This cannot get any easier.
Trade Manny for pitching, bullpen, starting pitching, setup guys whatever you can get.
The go get Barry Bonds
Manny Ramirez For Hanley Ramirez ? that would be hot and justified
bye bye manny.sox will take a bag of balls for that malcontent.
lets do a Manny for Hanley deal
Get prospects for manny send the prospects to the rangers and lugo paying his salary for next year for michael young trade lowry and and a prospect for fancouer and ohman and the sox are set for a title run
You have to wonder...do the Sox think they can win this thing without Manny in the lineup? They played decent baseball without Papi for two months, so you wonder if they are thinking this might be an addition by subtraction thing. Similar to Nomar situation - with one big exception: Sox still had Manny and Papi to anchor the lineup.
If the Sox were to pull off a deal - just to rid themselves of someone who has become a Nomar-like distraction/cancer - and get a player in return like Pat Burrell, you wonder if a lineup of Ellsbury, Pedroia, Papi, Lowell, Burrell, Youk, Drew, Tek, Lowrie is good enough to win it all. Are there enough better than average guys surrounding Papi to make it work?
Maybe so, but if they were to make the postseason, can they replace Manny's "clutch" bat - he's a proven posteason horse.
Prior to 2004, I would have said suck it up and keep him. Now, two rings later and with a team seamingly sinking in its own indifference and struggling still to find itself in 2008, I say pull the trigger on something like this - if it's out there - and go for it.
Manny to the Marlins makes alot of sense. Red Sox trade Manny to the Marlins for Hermida/Willingham and a pitching prospect. They then flip the aforementioned players to the Pirates for Bay.
You must be borderline retarded to trade hanley for manny.
