Marmol in

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff July 16, 2008 12:54 AM

Carlos Marmol, the replacement for Kerry Wood, is coming into the game to pitch in the bottom of the 13th inning. That leaves Brad Lidge in the bullpen for the National League. Brandon Webb's there too, though he pitched on Sunday.

Scott Kazmir, who threw 104 pitches on Sunday, told me yesterday that he really wanted to get into this game tonight, even despite the wishes of his organization. We'll see if that comes to fruition out of necessity.

  1. Wow... Uggla ain't doin' so well in the field. Is he usually this bad?

Terry should have let pitchers that are normally starting pitchers throw more than 1 inning each, because now he only has Kazmir to go to! Hopefully the AL can get it done in the bottom of the 14th.
