Not much to report so far today, but here goes...

David Aardsma, who has been on the disabled list since July 20 (retroactive to July 19) with a right groin strain, threw a side session today at 85 to 90 percent effort. But manager Terry Francona said Aardsma still feels some tightness in the groin, so the team will not put him in a game until that goes away. He'll throw another side on Friday.

Bartolo Colon will throw another side session on Friday. Francona said that, after two more side sessions, he's hopeful the team will be able to make a decision on Colon, but they'll need to see where the pitcher stands.

Julio Lugo is working on non-weight-bearing rehab, as he works his way back from his torn left quad. He will probably not travel on the next road trip, to Kansas City and Chicago. He is not yet to the point where he can do baseball activities, instead working mostly in the water.
