Not buying reports that deal is 'dead'

Reports are beginning to surface that the three-way deal for Manny Ramirez is dead or close to dead, but I’m not buying it. The same snags exist now that existed this morning, and there’s still time to work them out before the 4 p.m. deadline.

Also, according to a source, Manny is spending the day shopping in Boston, relaxing and waiting like the rest of us. He is anxious to learn where he may be playing Friday.

  1. I really hope that they find a way to move him without losing too much this year.
    The Bay scenario seemed to be a good one, and hopefully something close to that caliber can still happen. Has ManRam become a cancer?? It sure seems it. I doubt those 4 errors coincidentally occured at the same time when there seemed to be the most clubhouse tension.

  1. Get out of our city. There's no excuse for not running balls out and not hustling. He's let his teammates down whom have done nothing wrong, not to mention the fans that pay his salary. I'll take someone who plays hard and is younger. Go Mannyless Sox!

  1. poster #2 - you have really taken the cake with your comments. I'm so sure Manny made them all make errors. With his mind power, you know. His telekenisis. He makes the catch of the game for the RS and they refused to even replay it, yet they showed the errors in replay so many times I lost count.

    Get a dose of reality people!

Instead, because he's not white, you'd label him a lazy ingrate. Good luck filling the black hole in the Red Sox lineup. Who's going to stupid enough to pitch to Ortiz?
