Melky Cabrera just drove in the first run of the game, a single off Justin Masterson sending home Jason Giambi, and giving the Yankees a 1-0 lead. That left men on second and third (on the throw home), but Jose Molina couldn't convert, grounding out to shortstop to end the inning.
