Ortiz lopes home

PORTLAND, Maine -- In the pregame presser, Ortiz said that his sometimes gimpy knee was doing fine. However, he might have wanted to flex it a little more, when he trotted home on Reddick’s bases loaded single. What he didn’t realize was that as he loped home with the first Portland run, Mark Wagner was hot on his tail with the second. Press box wags suggested that he might get fined for not hustling, but the guess here is that his pocket book won’t get touched.
