PORTLAND, Maine -- Tarp is coming off the field, and we’re advised that an 8:45 first pitch is hoped for.

Ortiz spoke outside the Sea Dog clubhouse just moments ago, dressed in full uni.

Topic No. 1 of course, is his left wrist, and the tendon sheath injury that has kept him out of the Bosox line up since May 31.

“It’s not an easy injury to deal with,” he said. “But other than that, I feel fine. I think I’m where I’d like to be. I’m not going to lie to you. I’m not 100 percent. But I’m close.”
