Red Sox fall 7-5

The Red Sox fall 7-5 to the LA Angels Monday night in the first of a three-game series. The Angels' Francisco Rodriguez picked up his major-league leading 44th save of the season.

The second game is scheduled to start tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. with Clay Buchholz (2-5, 5.81 ERA) and John Lackey (8-2, 3.02 ERA) listed as the starting pitchers.

  1. Hey Boston - Yeah you beat an injury depleted team in the playoffs last yr; but how does a 1 & 6 record against the best team in baseball feel now! Hope you guys make it to the playoffs. And, oh, w/o homefield.
