Sox take the lead

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff July 13, 2008 02:09 PM

It's started off as your typical Dice-K outing, full of baserunners, but in the second inning it's 1-0 Red Sox thanks to J.D. Drew's RBI double driving in Dustin Pedroia. The run came courtesy of another Orioles shortstop error. Freddie Bynum threw Pedroia's grounder away. Pedroia got credit for a single as well.

Nice day here at the ballpark.

Looking up at the scoreboard Tampa Bay is up 2-1 on Cleveland in the third, hoping to end the break on a positive note after a seven-game skid. The Yanks are down 4-0 to the Jays in the fourth.
