Bay gets on base again
Red Sox new left fielder Jason Bay had walked in the bottom of the second inning and scored a run for Boston in his first at-bat to give his team a 1-0 lead. He reached again in the bottom of the fourth in his second trip to the plate when he was hit by a Justin Duchscherer pitch to lead off the inning. Then, with one out, he advanced to third on Jed Lowrie's single. But Kevin Cash ended the threat when he hit into a double play and the game moved into the top of the fifth inning with Boston still up, 1-0.

Talk about immediate impact...
Nice sliding catch, and Tito even played Hit & Run with him. Not to dog-pile, but ummm, would those two plays have been made earlier this week?
Again, let's focus on the positive...go get 'em Jason
(by the way, why is a Globe reporter in LA anyhow...c'mon...seriously. Did Cincy send anyone to Chicago? The story tonight is in BOSTON!!)
