Beckett pushed back
Josh Beckett's next start has been pushed back from Saturday to Tuesday, according to manager Terry Francona. Beckett has been experiencing some numbness and tingling in his right arm since Sunday. The manager said that Beckett slept awkwardly on the arm prior to Sunday's start (in which he gave up 8 runs in 2 2/3 innings), but the discomfort has continued to linger, and the Sox will push their ace back a few days.
More to come on Beckett.

Forgot something - not only does it take Beckett out of the series against his kryptonite, but it has the added projected benefit of Dice-K opening the series vs CWS, who he did very well against last time out.
Presuming it benefits him, this really helps vs NYY next week. Assuming Byrd and Lester keep pitching on four days rest, turn in the rotation be damned, we got Beckett-Byrd-Lester vs a projected rotation of Pettite-Ponson-Mussina. We'll be okay down there.
My first comment that got wiped out was that it sets up a projected series of Beckett-Byrd-Lester vs Pettite-Ponson-Mussina. We'll be okay vs NYY.
