More on Beckett

Posted by Michael Vega, Globe Staff August 29, 2008 04:16 PM

The news on Josh Beckett is becoming a little clearer. Beckett visited with Dr. James Andrews today and tests on his right elbow all came back clean, according to Terry Francona. If all goes well, Francona said he expects Beckett to be back to start the first game of the Rangers series, which is next Friday in Texas.

"Everything came out, the word would be awesome," Francona said. "Everything was clean. There were a number of tests and Josh came thought with flying colors. Obviously, we hoped for that. We needed to get some closure."

  1. Thank you for putting this online. I had just read that he was on the DL and my vital signs were not good...I can feel my BP coming down already!
