Ortiz and Lowell OK
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A team source has indicated that David Ortiz did not reinjure the sheath or the tendon in his left wrist Monday night, but had some discomfort in his wrist from swinging too hard. Ortiz, who was icing the area after the game, shook his left hand after fouling off a pitch in the ninth but finished the at-bat.
Afterward he told the Boston Herald that he felt something "click" in his wrist, but it wasn't the tendon. He is in tonight's lineup batting third.
Also in the lineup is Mike Lowell. He had a cortisone injection in his right hip, which has been experiencing soreness for about five weeks.
J.D. Drew was back in the leadoff spot and Jacoby Ellsbury was in center field and batting ninth.

What's an "exposure incident"?
Is it me, or does one of these updates seem a tad out of place?
if it wasn't his wrist that he heard 'click', what was it?
Would the "other paper" that is not a part-owner of the Red Sox have handled the reporting of this story differently?
It was indicated in a story in this morning's Globe that Levits had been let go by the Red Sox after this incident. This appears to be updating that article.
Not a big fan of Drew in the leadoff spot. And what's up with Bay dropping to sixth in the order? Why did they switch up the Pedroia-Youk top two, especially with both Papi and Lowell back tonight?
This guy should be fired if he was found guilty.
Funny sequence
Cant stop laughing
FIRE Dave Magadan, for a hitting coach this guy is as LOST as the bottom half of the order.
Varitek - LOST
Crisp - NO CLUE, waved at a Fastball he had to look up at !!!!
Ellsbury - Totally LOST
Bring back Papa Jack !!!!
