Pedroia finally out

After reaching base 11 straight times after a bloop single in the first inning, Dustin Pedroia was retired on a tapper back to the mound in the third inning.

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen called for the ball that Pedroia was retired with and then kiddingly gestured to Pedroia to sign the ball for him. Guillen called Pedroia a "jockey" after Saturday's game after Pedroia had four hits batting clean-up and then was walked intentionally by Guillen.

Guillen, a big fan of Pedroia's, then put the ball in his back pocket and kept pointing to the ball for Pedroia to sign as Pedropia took his position. Later, Guillen gave the ball to a small child sitting next to the White Sox dugout.

The White Sox lead 2-0 in the fourth after Jim Thome's first-inning homer against Tim Wakefield.
